VINYASA YOGA

Laurie Jordan, MSW, E-RYT 500, RCYT, brings over 20 years of yoga teaching experience and a passion for making yoga accessible to all. Known for her playful, laid-back style and smartly sequenced classes, Laurie creates welcoming spaces where students of all levels can thrive. Her signature “slow, steady, and strong” vinyasa flow is breath-centric and thoughtfully designed to counter the fast pace of life, building strength and calm in equal measure.
Beyond vinyasa, Laurie offers therapeutic, breath-centered yoga practices that empower students to connect inward, embrace healing, and live well. With a soft spot for kids, she has taught thousands of young yogis, trained instructors in children’s yoga, and authored Yawning Yoga, a book helping families ease bedtime jitters. Laurie’s ability to create a safe, welcoming space makes her classes approachable and inspiring for all. Featured in outlets like Yoga Journal and Mind-Body-Green, she brings decades of teaching experience to CAS.

Rachel Dilworth completed her 200 hr. Vinyasa yoga certification and training at Rasa Yoga Center in Medford, and Ashland, OR. in June 2016 under the guidance of Sarah Sol, Krista Holland, and Jaimie Elmer. In addition to this she has had the blessing of continuing her education with such prevalent teachers as Max Strom, Desiree Rumbaugh, and Djuna Mascall. Rachel also holds a B.S in Elementary Education and Early Childhood development.

ADULT ED: Ceramic Handbuilding
Embark on a six-week creative journey with our Handbuilding with Clay Introductory Course. Learn fundamental techniques such as pinch pots, coiling, soft slab, and kurinuki with Livingston Manor-based potter Bryan Cronk. While each class begins with a demonstration, students are encouraged to explore their unique direction and creativity. Dive into surface decoration, textures, and glazing to enhance your creations. The possibilities are truly limitless. Registration is on a first come, first served basis and dependent upon receiving payment in full.

ADULT ED: WHEEL-THROWN POTTERY
This class for beginning and intermediate-level adults offers instruction in creating ceramic works on the potter’s wheel. Over six weeks, Livingston Manor-based potter Jenny Gill will introduce basic throwing, surface embellishment techniques, glazing and more. Registration is on a first come, first served basis and dependent upon receiving payment in full.
