ADULT ED: DRAWING FOUNDATIONS (Tier 1)

Structured Skill-Building for Every Level

Tier 1 is a four-week introductory drawing course. It is the first module of three tiers, each designed to build both technical skill and creative confidence. Students will explore essential drawing techniques, beginning with line, shape, and observation. Subsequent tiers will progress into light, shadow, perspective, and composition. With an emphasis on supportive practice, this class encourages students to refine their skills, embrace mistakes, and discover their own artistic voice.

How the Tiers Work (The "Join Anytime" Model)

Our curriculum runs in three 4-week modules. Because the fundamentals are woven into every session, you can jump in at the start of any Tier.

  • Tier 1: Focus on lines, shapes, and simple forms

  • Tier 2: Developing skills in value scales, core shadows, and creating 3D depth.

  • Tier 3: Bringing it all together with detail and intentional placement and moving into the realm of expressive drawing.

Why this works: Every tier begins with a fundamentals overview. We’ll complete exercises which act as a "onboarding" for new students and a "mastery drill" for returning ones. Complete all three tiers to finish the full cycle!
